21st December, 2019: Covenient lies always attract the largest crowds.
Quote: "The queue for convenient lies will always be a longer one than the queue for inconvenient truths."
I repeat again that the Tories got 29.33% and Labour 21.66% of the TOTAL electorate. That means (rounding up) that only 3 in every 10 people eligible to vote supported Johnson.
But it's enough to bring someone to power.
Heal Britain? Do not make me laugh. He has been exposed for various sins including being an out-and-out swindler of statistics.
With Proportional representation the Tories would be in a minority. But in feudal Britain, where political 'warlords' use a corrupt voting system to hold onto power, there can never be unity.
Add to this a heavily biased media which demonises anyone who is not right-wing, and you see we can never have a fair system of representation.
The establishment is corrupt, and at times, downright evil and devious. But as long as the British people want to keep it that way, nothing will change.
You can live in denial if you wish, but facts are facts.
17th December, 2019: Balance (or unbalance) the books?
When things do not just add up.
Brexit. Yes we gain more control over our finances, but the reality is that there is very little 'new' money.
Johnson is going to have to make decisions on how he is going to find all of the cash he wants to spend. It could be a mixture of several possibilities.
We know as a stone-cold fact he has swindled the figures and behaved like a chiselling spiv. But now he is back in No. 10 we have to wait and see how he is going to balance the books.
One option is to 'rob Peter to pay Paul'. Another is sell-out British assets and give access to more of our institutions to raise the money he needs to fulfil his ambitions (his dreams,
potentially our nightmares).
Of course, people also talk about extra investment. But when Thatcher sold off the 'family silver', she just encouraged a programme of investment based upon greed and exploitation.
Seems the same will happen again.
If anyone is in doubt about anything I have said, then you have forgotten to learn the lessons of the past. You should also look at the official government's own Office for National
Statistics to try and understand that nothing is as simple as Johnson likes to make it appear.
14th December, 2019: Keep going right ... further still!
Exactly how far right is Johnson going to go?
I was interested to see how extremist right-wing politicians in Europe have been congratulating Johnson on his victory. If the UK has friends (Salvini, Le Pen) like this, who needs enemies?
So it's obvious that the extremist are growing in popularity. Racism, bigotry and fascism are becoming more fashionable. But don't bother to tell this to the Tory voters. They just want to close
their eyes, cover their ears and speak no evil of the new administration.
Now while Johnson is not exactly another version of the 'Little Corporal', the fervour that got him elected is similar to that which we saw in the 1930s. I just wonder how far this will go before
something gives.
Labour ...
I have previously commented that Corbyn lost because he was an old-school Socialist and wanted to keep faith in Labour's traditional principles. Some people disagreed, but they were wrong.
Those who disagreed have lost sight of what traditional Labour values mean.
It is the fact that such values are no longer accepted. Changing times and the danger of the perils of losing sight of really matters in this world. But, hey-ho, the reality is that the world
has changed, and for the worse.
Should anyone really vote for Labour in either it's traditional or proposed Blairite values? Not really. The former has been lost on the British people and the latter is no more than
'closet Toryism'. After all, what's the point in voting for a reformed Labour if it is not going to be much different to the Tory Party?
Get ready for Hugo Boss to bring out new designs for all of us to wear (use your chosen search engine for the name in combination with WWII). Personally, I shall still wear green.
14th December, 2019: When votes are no more than an illusion.
"If voting changed anything, they'd abolish it."
The British public have elected someone into office who has a terrible character. If Johnson was more of a responsible person, then criticism would not be so forthcoming.
But Johnson was elected back into power. It is the general attitude of those who would vote for him knowing what he is that should trouble the average person in the street.
It also just goes to show that just over 29% of the total electorate thought he was a worthy choice. That is disturbing and sets a new benchmark for how desperate some these voters were to support him.
If we have compulsory voting, and the option to select none of the candidates on the ballot paper, then the option of 'None of the Above' would have yielded over 32%.
This means, under compulsory voting, the winner would have been nobody if those percentages were represented in each Constituency.
So what does it say about ALL of the candidates if nobody was a clear winner? Does it not emphasise the lack of faith in the political system overall that around 1 in 3 voters did not vote?
It is the first-passed-the-post system that is divisive and does not allow fair representation. That is going to be a big reason why many did not vote.
So we continue with this 'feudal' system where only the strongest have power and the outright winner collects the prize money. This may be OK in sport, but this is about people's lives. I blame BOTH
the Tories and Labour for letting this prevail and both are as bad as each other.
In closing I know that the British people have rejected proportional representation, but until the current system is modified, there will remain a lot of disenfranchised voters. But for those who
keep winning, why change the system? It's not in their interest is it?
In fact, it's like being invited to play poker knowing the deck is stacked against you. Who would be stupid enough to gamble away their stake money knowing that the game was rigged? Let's face it,
it is easy to rig this game of politics. Just get your friends in the mainstream media (for example) to give you an unfair edge.
If this is the type of country you want to live in, so be it. But it's not real democracy. Any pretence that it is so is purely untrue.
Don't forget the old saying: if voting changed anything, they would abolish it.
Post Script.
Reality check ...
Of the TOTAL electorate, Tories and Labour combined only commanded 51% of the vote (29.33% and 21.66% respectively). So virtually half the country did not vote for either, or abstained.
Using these figures, it also shows that the difference between Labour and the Tories was only 1 in every 13 voters (again, of the TOTAL electorate).
The result was not anywhere as near as devastating for Labour as it first appears. If there had been a fairer proportional representation, the Tories would have fallen well short of a working majority.
It would have been 288 seats for the Tories. That is 362 seats going elsewhere (213 to Labour).
Possibly the biggest losers under the current system were the LibDems who could have picked up 59 more seats. Ironically, the SNP would only have 28 seats.
Any fair-minded person can see the problem here. But it's not about fairness, is it? It's about the 'playground bullies' using their might to hold onto the power they yield. Shame the Brits do not
have the backbone to break this stranglehold on power, subdue the bullies, and vote for something better.
13th December, 2019: The UK shows it's true colours (and it's blue - as in movie).
So Boris, that ageing 'Chad Thundercock' (but I should say Chav Thundercock) is back at No.10.
I wonder how many white piccaninnies he will breed with his girlfriend? Or will he get a goat in to do the job for him?
A goat? Well ... Boris gave us the idea ...
Quote: "Boris Johnson has won a £1,000 prize for a rude poem about the Turkish president having s*x with a goat. The former mayor of London’s limerick, published by the Spectator as a
rebuff to Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s efforts to prosecute a German comedian’s offensive poem, also calls the president a “w******r”."
Of course, these chimera-type half-wits will not be as smart as the average kid. You will hardly ever see them as well as the PM's minders will make sure there are plenty of hiding places
for them to use - such as fridges.
I also expect these poor waifs will also be lacking in mathematical skills - just like their dad. Perhaps he will advise them to say whatever they like because nobody will ever hold them
to account.
Then there is dad himself. I hear he's installing a zip-wire which will run the length of Downing Street so every time one of his American buddies visits he can welcome them by riding up
and down it waving a Union flag in one hand and the Stars and Stripes flag in the other.
Yes folks. No need to go the circus any longer! You will only have to turn on your TV to watch a freak show hosted by the UK's most famous clown.
In closing I'd like to thank all of those voters who put him back into No. 10. You know the types; the rabid rottweilers, the unprincipled, the selfish, the narrow-minded, the racists, the bigots,
the black shirts, the ... oh heck, the list is endless.
Oh come on now, everyone. Where's your watermelon smiles?
13th December, 2019: Death of a Salesman.
Corbyn just couldn't sell his vision well enough.
End of the road. You've been fired! Call a cab for Jeremy!
Some will be familiar with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. There similarities with the fate of Jeremy Corbyn.
Corbyn has tried to relive past glories and was hoping that his 'salesmanship' would invoke old traditions of traditional Socialism. He grossly undervalued the effect of Brexit, but
combined with the vitriolic attack upon his character by the mainstream media (commonly referred to as "MSM"), he was always on a hiding-to-nothing.
There was hope (on his part) that his traditional values would count for something. But they did not. It was mostly the portrayal of this man as opposed to Brexit that brought about
his downfall. Brexit merely amplified the bad feelings towards this man.
Politics is a brutal business, and this is where Corbyn failed the most. It's a battleground where only the strongest win and Corbyn was found wanting. A more dynamic and resolute leader
would have had more success, but using reason alone for your argument was never going to be enough.
Furthermore, if he was not already hamstrung by the portrayal of him by the MSM, the dithering over Brexit, he also suffered treachery within his own Party. After last night's result,
he must be feeling like Julius Caesar. There were those who wanted to put a knife in his back prior to this election. The electorate did the job for his potential assassins.
Perhaps that's no surprise, really. He invited criticism of his approach to politics by not understanding the mood of the country. That does not mean he was wrong in all of his policies,
but that many were considered out-dated and unacceptable.
All this considered, I do feel sympathy for him. But he needed more support - support that he was never going to get. Now he is finished. He should have learned lessons from Michael Foot's
rout in 1983. But he failed to learn this lesson, and this led to his strategy being doomed to failure.
Forget the taxi? Make it a hearse? R.I.P. Jeremy.
7th December, 2019: Former Home Secretary attempts moral crusade. Big mistake!
You always know when a politician is lying. You can see the lips move.
Pot calling the kettle black. On honesty and integrity ...
Honesty, integrity, and other similar values are trash terms to politicians. These terms are only used when votes are there to be won and are no more than soundbites. I also say that if corruption
had a physical odour, then the stench that emits from Westminster would have people up-and-down the country holding their breath. Bad enough this is so, but at election time, they spread this stench by
taking it more directly to the constituencies.
The Tories will twist or deny the truth, Labour are saying just about anything they like to beg for votes. As for the LibDems, we all know are 'Fifth Columnists' - judging by their previous decision to
support a Tory government (just to get a little bit of power and influence).
Far too many members of each Party are self-serving and disingenuous. Snake Oil salesmen (and women) who love power more than anything else, and have zero self-respect. And far too many again are only
half-wits whose only chance of getting a well-paid job is to go into politics, because they'd be an abysmal failure at anything else they would try their hand at outside of Westminster.
Julian Assange ...
Julian Assange tried to escape being fraudulently accused of rape charges which were in turn going to be used as an excuse for Sweden to then pass him over to the Americans for exposing corruption
involving the USA and the UK.
Essentially, the UK could then wash their hands of the man. So Assange sought sanctuary in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London to protect himself. It was only when the Presidency changed hands and a
substantial amount of money was given to that Country that the President of Ecuador sold out Assange.
Now Assange finds himself in prison for skipping bail. Who kept him there? A judge who it has been shown (along with her husband) who 'benefited' from their association with companies who were exposed
by Wikileaks for corrupt activities.
So, the establishment (Tory Party, et al) knew exactly what was going on and endorsed this policy of discrimination of Assange. We all know very well that the UK and the USA have this 'special
relationship', but one based upon protecting each other's corrupt interests.
Then politicians (especially Tories) applaud when it is said in the House of Commons by Theresa May that "nobody is above the law". Really?
What Assange did was expose corruption at the highest levels, and it is the same corrupt establishment that wants to destroy him for doing that.
Sajid Javid is one of those people who want to see Assange punished for exposing corruption by pretending that Assange is a bad person.
Javid is just part of this corrupt establishment. He is the Tory's version of Dr Evil. I despise him for being just another establishment puppet out to
appease his masters and ignore the real reasons for the persecution of Assange.
Meanwhile, war criminals like Blair and Bush remain free and sycophantic and grovelling supporters still worship them.
This is the world we live in. Exposing corruption and telling the truth is punishable when it hurts the most corrupt in our society. That is what is wrong here. And politicians will continue to promote
the lies that keep Assange in jail. Javid is just one of those people.
Just a reminder ...
From the Independent newspaper on 23rd November, 2019 ...
BEGINS:
Mr Johnson has been dogged by the articles he wrote as a journalist, including the recent revelation that he wrote that seeing “a bunch of black kids” scared him.
There was loud applause when the prime minister was accused of contributing to the problem of “racist rhetoric” being “rife in this country”.
He claimed: “I have written many millions of words in my life as a journalist and I have genuinely never intended to cause hurt or pain to anybody.”
But, when he suggested the questioner was “referring to a particular article” – in which he likened veiled Muslim women to letter boxes and bank robbers – the host, Fiona Bruce cut in.
“So, there's the Muslims going around looking like letterboxes, which was last year, you referred to tribal warriors with watermelon smiles and flag-waving piccaninnies and then just to get another
demographic in, tank-topped bum boys.”
The prime minister replied: “I defend my right to speak out."
ENDS.
Yes, Boris, we all like to speak out. But sometimes clear, indefensible and unjustified prejudices are not acceptable.
1st December, 2019: The weather after December 12: just more dark skies.
Some things never change.
The next Parliament is going to be made-up with even worse personalities than the last one. I'm sure we'd get a lot better if any of the major parties were able to find both intelligent
and honest people to represent them. But the last two Governments have at least shown that such people, those with any respectable credentials, would feel they would not wish to be tainted
by association with those they had to work amongst.
We should all see that politics in general is a career which appeals only to the dishonest, the self-serving, the stupid and the desperate. Yes, there are some in Parliament who are
principled, but we have seen how at least some are jumping (a sinking) ship. It's also of note that many decent MPs tend to occupy the backbenches anyways, and have no prospect of ever
achieving anything useful. The front benches are for amateurs, 'yes people', and the Party's dregs (of which the current Tory Government is a classic example). As for Williamson, he is one
of the most nasty and obsequious people you could ever meet.
29th November, 2019: Boris Johnson - he becomes more deporable day by day.
Regardless of what you are, there are always those ready to grovel at your feet.
BoJo continually represents the spiv's vote. His Party has so far set-up a fake fact-checking website (now withdrawn), a Tory-controlled opinion poll (and possibly many more),
misrepresented net figures on European donations and nurses, has insulted large swathes of the population with his bigoted and racist remarks, and dodges difficult issues such as the environment.
Anyone would think he is the clone of Trump. Perhaps they come from the same genetic stock? Both are clowns, both share similar faults, and both are in partnership to bring disharmony to
the rest of the world. Both certainly seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet.
Have I missed something? And will the mainstream media still publish photo opportunities of small groups of fawning, grovelling and unprincipled people posing for photos with this clown?
Guess so. This election is about deception on a grand scale. It is about propaganda, deception and dishonesty. In this respect, the Tories are well ahead of anyone else.
PS. When are we going to see the conniving 'little corporal' posing with some people with darker skins? Or will he continue to be afraid of a gathering of two or more of this culture?
26th November, 2019: Just like three 'Ps' in a pod
Propaganda: As old as Prostitution and Politics.
If anyone is guilty of trying to deceive the general public it is Boris Johnson. This is because he does not know any principles involving honesty, decency or respect for those who oppose
him.
You can fight your corner by employing those values or you can find a new level to sink to as each day passes. Johnson is happy to use tactics at gutter level to try and win.
So all of those who say they support Johnson, you are in the gutter with him. Not that I am surprised that anyone could back such a sad wretch. Too many people in this
world are happy to sell their souls for what they want rather than fight a fair battle.
In closing I'd also add that the right-wing newspapers are also sinking to new levels of depravity. I've already said this election will be a bloodbath, and the mainstream media's thirst for blood
is endless.
What a sick and evil country we live in that this is allowed to happen. There again, Germany also experienced similar propaganda tactics in the 1930s and early 1940s. Ergo, it's nothing new, is it?
24th November, 2019: Boris Johnson wants to open the Gates of Hell.
'BJ'? (Bad Joke).
It's bad enough BJ is a racist, a bigot and a deceiver. But what is worse is that some people are so obsessed with Brexit that they will vote for him just to enforce their own prejudices.
That is the sad thing about the forthcoming election. It's going to be about hatred, division, and all of the appalling things BJ represents. The 'Orcs' will be out in full force.
Add to this the short-sighted mentality, where those who want Brexit are possibly even worse than the man himself. If BJ is successful, we then open the doors of Hell. We open them to the
Americans and an ignorant President who wants to get his grubby paws on our country and inflict upon us a vision he shares with BJ - the deprecation of what we represent. He will also try to mould
our society into something that befits his perverted mentality - the onslaught of unprincipled commerce to the detriment of our health, human rights and the environment.
This is why Trump supports Brexit. He's not interested in our well-being. He's only interested in the benefits for his own country - benefits based upon some very evil concepts.
So, vote for BJ and open the those gates. The short-sighted and those blinded by prejudice will not consider the dangers to their full extent. As for the European Parliament and it's mismanagement
and corruption, it is a long way from perfect. But voting for BJ is just like voting for more of the same, but far worse. I say this as I have many friends in America, and what is happening over there
is an example of sordid politics at it's worst.
Fix what you already have, don't have a tantrum and be influenced by those who are only interested in feeding you propaganda to the behest of what is in your best interests, and the best interests
of the population as a whole. Be a revolutionising force in Europe, not some spoiled little brat who wants to throw his toys out of the pram and, by default, make a deal with the Devil himself -
the American political establishment.
8th November, 2019: No Brexit as yet, but an upcoming bloodbath they call a general election.
Ballot boxes at 20 paces.
This General Election is going to show the subject politics for what it really is. Potentially, it is going to be the most dirty, dishonest, corrupt and backbiting election we have seen for a
very long time. Loyalties will mean nothing. Selfishness and ambitions will override all principles. This election will be a bloodbath. It will be possibly the last opportunity for 'snake oil'
salesmen (and women) to use the long-practised method of trying to deceive us.
As for Ian Austin, who I am somewhat reluctant to speak of, I find him typical of the type of persona we should be glad to see the back of. If he is anti-Corbyn, OK. But to say he will support
the Conservatives is showing his type in their true colours. A despicable little man.
Personally, I shall vote (if available) for the Greens. This has always been my way. I do this because I hold the opinion you should vote with your conscience, and not be one of those fickle
swing-votes who can only see blue and red (and sometimes yellow) and just vote for someone because they want to hurt or damage another candidate.
But that is politics. It is not just just the candidates but also the voters we shall see the worst of. Battle lines will be drawn, we shall experience treachery and betrayal, divisions, anger,
and all the worst things that politics expose on election days.
Whatever comes out of this election, whomever survives by whatever means they use to win their argument, there will be an uneasy truce in the aftermath. This coming election will not be the end
of the current unsettled position of Parliament.
I expect more people will become disenfranchised after December 12. But by the same measure, I also expect more younger people to start to realise that radical change is need in the way we are governed.
Perhaps a campaign for fairer representation will again be proposed and this time supported. This is because, of all previous elections where only the greedy and the vociferous supporters of a mostly
two-party dictatorship will be shown that their hold on power is not going to survive. In other words, the first-passed-the-post system is outdated and unfair. If those of us who feel we are unrepresented
in Parliament because of this corrupt system will not tolerate it much longer.
So go out and vote for something different. Put aside your prejudices based upon the propaganda you have been fed by those will secret agendas. Forget the loyalty to a party simply because of brainwashing,
and focus your loyalty on the planet and what is best for it, not just some blathering left or right wing politician who will promise you what you want and ditch you after being elected. These people are
just in politics for themselves and their old-school buddies. Vote for evolution, vote for revolution. Do not vote for the decaying ideology of divide-and-rule. Use your brain, and do not let the fear
engendered by mainstream politicians frighten you. Use your power for change, get out and vote, and do not squander it on the 'same old, same old'.
23rd October, 2019: The black hole they call Brexit.
The debates, arguments, fighting - will any of this ever end?
It's been a while since my last post. Still waiting for an outcome on Brexit. Usual story on my absense though. Delay due health issues and work commitments.
But that Brexit debacle. It has been like a festering sore for all of us, regardless of our views on the subject. We all want closure, and for varying reasons.
Back soon. Perhaps after 31st October.
12th September, 2019: Jeremy Corbyn: all things to all men.
Saviour, or appeaser?
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 New King James Version (NKJV): Serving All Men.
19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
20 and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law;
21 to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law;
22 to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.
In other words, Jeremy is a chameleon. Whatever the environment, he tries to fit right in.
When he wants to appeal to the left-wing, he is red. Similarly, the right-wing, he likes to appear blue. Appear to be a centrist? He is yellow. Environmental issues?
He likes to appear to be green. But we all know he is simply a grey.
This is the 'gospel' of St Jeremy, patron saint of appeasers.
11th September, 2019: Tom Watson calls for a 2nd Refendum!
Look who drew the short straw!
Whatever the virtues of a second referendum, I doubt if they are shared by many Brexiteers. What Tom has done, is offer to play Russian Roulette with all six chambers
loaded with bullets - and then offered to be first to pull the trigger.
Let me know where to send the flowers, Tom.
10th September, 2019: Light the fuse and stand back, very far back!
A clash of Titans? Or just more banging on drums?
Two chances of a General Election before 31st October. Both rejected by those who think they know the best way forward.
Parliamentarians who oppose Boris Johnson think they are doing us all a favour. But I wonder if any of them have listened to the general public?
Brexit is more than just Boris trying to bulldoze his way to a conclusion. And it's not just about Parliament as a whole. It's about being seen to get the job done -
either have a quick election, or just concede that Boris will charge headlong into an agreement which will be little better than no deal at all.
This is because, as I said before, Boris is very much like Admiral Horatio Nelson at Trafalgar. Convention is going to be ignored. Boris will fight this final
battle on his terms.
So, please excuse me for mixing my historical references, but the fuse is well and truly lit. The consequence is that many will see their careers in Westminster perish
as a result. I don't think Guy Fawkes could have done a better job!
7th September, 2019: Boris' ship now ... 'Rudderless'?
Boris sets sail for troubled waters! Will someone throw him a life ring? Part 2!
Well, I said he was setting sail for troubled waters. Today, (and now former) Cabinet member Amber Rudd has resigned the whip.
Guess that means (please forgive the pun) that Boris' ship really is now 'Rudderless'!
So what follows 'Amber'? Boris 'Green about the gills', or Boris 'Red-faced'? Well! Both come around, sooner or later.
5th September, 2019: What happened to August?
August has been a difficult month. Too many distractions and obligations to get anything completed. But such is life. Now the Autumn is beckoning and only a few weeks away.
I'm updating my blog now with comments I have made in my local rag in recent weeks. Apologies for the delay in publication.
Boris, Brexit and Peter Pan.
The plan to separate the UK from Europe has been something known to me since the mid-1990s. It was only a matter of time. There had to be a campaign of exposing everything that is
negatively associated with Europe (as opposed to anything that was positive). This involved the usual suspects; which included a prostituted mainstream media consistently feeding us a
contrived narrative.
So here we are now. When the time was right, a referendum was conducted. If it had failed to vote for Brexit, other devices would have come into play. This included a long-term plan
to achieve the ambition - even if it was well into the back end of World War III.
The Scottish issue is something else. In 'peacetime', a positive outcome for the Brexiteers would lead to the Scots demanding another vote on independence. In a future time of global
warfare, this would not happen.
So, will Boris Johnson (if he gets Brexit) be another Edward I ("Hammer of the Scots") or would he concede to such a proposition of further dividing the Nation. And what of the
ensuing problem of Ireland and the desire of the Welsh people?
One thing is for sure, with a successful Brexit, there will still be political wars to be fought. Perhaps "Scottorum malleus" will appear on the Johnson family crest at some point in
the future?
...
Referendums should only be used as a last resort and in times of crisis. And when they are conducted, they should be made clear as to exactly what they entail. They should also be made
legally binding so that politicians cannot subvert their outcome. Otherwise, a referendum (of any other description) should only be conducted to measure public opinion (no more than a
glorified opinion poll).
...
Boris 'Peter Pan' Johnson, just like 'Tootles', lost his marbles a long time ago. And he's also the boy who never grew up!
I wonder if the '21' could be referred to as the 'lost boys' (... and girls)?
Meanwhile, Brexit is in 'Never-Never Land'!
29th August, 2019: Boris and the Battle of Trafalgar ... Square? Close enough!
Boris sets sail for troubled waters! Will someone throw him a life ring?
Boris Johnson is very much like Admiral Horatio Nelson. In the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, Nelson abandoned the usual tactics recognised by established practice and devised his own
strategy. It was an overwhelming success - albeit Nelson lost his life.
Johnson has the same mentality. Ignore protocol and just get the job done. This is what makes him so appealing to many, and let's face it, don't we all have at least some admiration
for such an attitude?
But herein lays the problem: while Johnson may sink the forces of the EU, it will come at a cost. Another hostile fleet is waiting to exploit the UK's short-lived victory. The USA
will come sailing in and bring with it it's own ideology - which will be even more unwelcome than anything we have seen from the EU.
Then there is Nelson's fate. Officially, Nelson was shot by a French musketeer. Actually, this is wrong. So much for the official version.
Nelson was assassinated by one of his own crew. Before his ship returned to England, and it is said his ship was to sail up the Thames, his surgeon was told to dispose of the pellet
which killed him - because it was fired from an English musket. His orders were to 'drop it in the Thames' before docking. But the surgeon actually kept the pellet.
This gave rise to another story about the Illuminati, and there is a record of it currently residing in some Naval establishment in England (unless it has since been destroyed).
In some ways, history may repeat itself. Johnson may get his Brexit, but at a great personal cost. There will also be a great cost to the UK when the Americans come sailing in. It
will not just be Johnson's career, but his reputation which will also be destroyed. Let the battle begin.
...
Postscript. With reference to Nelson's death. The fatal pellet was fired by an Irishman - so the story goes. How ironic that it may be the DUP which ends Boris' career (because of
the backstop issue). Let's wait and see!
19th August, 2019: Boris goes all 'Frank'!
Some people think Boris will lead everyone on a song and dance. Well, we can provide the lyrics!
My Way - Frank Sinatra
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say - not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
Yes, it was my way
1st July, 2019: 5G, or not 5G: that is the question.
"To be, or not to be: that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,"
To be honest, I don't care if Williamson did, or did not, spill the beans on the 5G issue.
I find him to be reprehensible and highly disagreeable. But whatever the outcome of the Tory leadership election, we are going to be subjected to a government made up of grotesque
caricatures of which Williamson may be a part of.
I am sure if Shakespeare had been alive today he would have been inspired with the events happening in Westminster. Boris seems happy to take the slings and arrows and deflect them
with nonsensical answers, or there is Hunt - someone, it appears, who wishes to take up arms against a sea of troubles.
And I wonder how many are waiting in the wings with pointed daggers once the result of this election is known? And what part will Williamson play?
29th June, 2019: Deception
Remember Boris Johnson is a deceiver - and yet at liberty (and allowed) to carry on with his blustering style of vacuous claims. He also does not like the truth to be defended or condoned.
When someone is brave enough (whistle-blowers, journalists, etc.) to expose corruption, they are vilified - and some imprisoned (eg. Julian Assange).
Ergo, we live in a society where people like Johnson (and Jeremy Hunt) do not want a society based on openness, integrity and real justice. They know that the masses prefer convenient lies
to inconvenient truths.
Take a peak at 'Vault 7' on the Wikileaks website. Just Google it and see an example of the sordid activities of the so-called friend of the UK, the USA (and more specifically,
the CIA, NSA, etc.).
Hunt and Johnson are just disingenuous minions to more powerful people with sinister agendas.
26 June, 2019: A Government of Wolves
As the old saying goes: "A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves." - William J Lederer.
There are enough sheep out there to always vote into power politicians who will only ever represent a minority of the population. This is the first-passed-the-post system we have
in general and local elections.
The real problem is that sheep are easily divided by their own interests, rather than the greater good. And by dividing them, they are easily manipulated and ruled.
There is no real solution to this problem - because the problem is humanity (a term I use in the loosest sense) is largely dysfunctional. This is especially so in Westernised
countries which are spoiled and over-privileged - compared to the poorest countries of this world. We keep expecting too much whatever the cost. We want convenience without
responsibility. We are slaves to our own misguided desires and those in power know that they only have to keep offering more of the same to keep us from voting for something much better.
So, it is easier to vote in those who best suit our own desires without counting the cost on society and the environment as a whole. And it is those with power and / or influence
(eg. the mass media) who will always tell us that we should vote either left or right.
Only when there is a disaster of apocalyptic proportions (no internet, no electricity or gas, empty shelves in shops, etc.) that we shall see the true nature, and measure,
of our society. In other words, strip away the veneer and you will see how pathetic and wretched humanity really is.
